The Nutmeg

It's official - we've booked our trip to the British Virgin Islands in June to celebrate Jeff's fellowship graduation! Yes it's still 9 months away! We're going with the 3 other cardiology fellows who are graduating and their wives/fiances. We are chartering a catamaran, The Nutmeg, for the week. We'll sleep and eat on the boat (it has 4 guest rooms) and Captain Leopold will take us to all the best beaches the BVI's have to offer. His wife, Ginette, will cater to all of our culinary whims. Ahhhh.....this will be the life. However, I'm wishing I hadn't gotten so in to shark week on Discovery this year...I can't stop thinking about the Great Whites thinking our jetskis or waterskis look tasty. And I think it best if I don't take Isaac to the current pirate exhibit at the Science Center.

It's pretty unbelievable to us that in a mere 9 months we'll be at Jeff's graduation and then off to celebrate in the islands the next morning. This event has been such an elusive goal and dim light at the end of a long tunnel for so long that it's pretty surreal for it to be so close now. Jeff started this journey 10 years ago as a single, 23 year old guy in Erie, PA driving a Camaro. And now here he is, a 33 year old married father of 2, a Board Certified Internest with a couple of mortgages, a labrador and an SUV. We're almost there, babe. Almost there.
