The Nutmeg

It's official - we've booked our trip to the British Virgin Islands in June to celebrate Jeff's fellowship graduation! Yes it's still 9 months away! We're going with the 3 other cardiology fellows who are graduating and their wives/fiances. We are chartering a catamaran, The Nutmeg, for the week. We'll sleep and eat on the boat (it has 4 guest rooms) and Captain Leopold will take us to all the best beaches the BVI's have to offer. His wife, Ginette, will cater to all of our culinary whims. Ahhhh.....this will be the life. However, I'm wishing I hadn't gotten so in to shark week on Discovery this year...I can't stop thinking about the Great Whites thinking our jetskis or waterskis look tasty. And I think it best if I don't take Isaac to the current pirate exhibit at the Science Center.

It's pretty unbelievable to us that in a mere 9 months we'll be at Jeff's graduation and then off to celebrate in the islands the next morning. This event has been such an elusive goal and dim light at the end of a long tunnel for so long that it's pretty surreal for it to be so close now. Jeff started this journey 10 years ago as a single, 23 year old guy in Erie, PA driving a Camaro. And now here he is, a 33 year old married father of 2, a Board Certified Internest with a couple of mortgages, a labrador and an SUV. We're almost there, babe. Almost there.

Aunties Visit

I'm finally getting around to posting pics from Labor Day weekend when my sisters came to visit with us. Auntie Laura came from Milwaukee and Auntie Kristen came from San Fransisco. We had a fun weekend and the kiddos sure did miss their aunites when they had gone :(

A snooze for AJ and her godmother.

I see some family resemblence here!

Uncle Brad came over for our first bonfire of the fall.

Playdough time.

Isaac sporting his new jacket straight from Ireland from Auntie Laura and Uncle Tom.

We made a trip to Greek Festival and ate a ridiculous amount of food.

A bunch of Irish folks at Greek fest.

Finished up the weekend with a BBQ before hitting the airport. Here's my favorite girls.

Green and Gold

So seriously, how could the Packers not win the NFL season opener with the 2 cutest little fans ever cheering for them?! We bleed green and gold. We can't help it. I let Jeff have them as little Cardinal fans and he lets me have them as little Packer fans. No, they do not get a choice :)

Here Isaac is telling a captivated Audrey about football. Thanks Papa and Mimi for the jerseys!

Farm

A couple weekends ago we packed up this city livin' family and our city livin' neighbors and headed south to my inlaws farm. What a great time in the country! Isaac got to ride just about every vehicle known to man...tractor, 4 wheeler, gator, pick up truck. He also got to go fishing for the first time - and thanks to Grandpa's well stocked ponds he got many bites. Ah, the peace and quiet of the farm.

Isaac was a little afraid of his first fish!
