August 29, 30 and 31...... I am ending the challenge with these pics from the cardinals game over the weekend!  We left the littlest fan home since it was 95degrees!  This was the first game with the kids that we actually stayed the whole game!!

I had to go today and get a new dance leotard for Audrey as she starts her new dance class next week and the new studio she is going to requires black leos and pink tights.  Yes, all the studios here have dress codes. Oh my. This photo from her summer dance class cracks me up. So much personality in such a little person!

First Day of School is finally here!!!  Isaac is off to Kindergarten.....how in the world did that happen??  He was so, so, so ready.  He is attending school at our community public school so we walked with the neighborhood friends, which he LOVED.  Such a big guy.  Such a great big heart.  We will miss him all day while he's off taking on the world :)

And Audrey off to 3K two days a week at the private Christian school we have been a part of for the last 3 years.  She is attending full days so she'll be a tired little 3 year old at 3:25 :)  She is so familiar with the school, the teachers and even her classmates that she'll shine, I know it.

Bags packed, new shoes out, outfits carefully chosen.... all laid out like its Christmas Eve.  Back to school tomorrow!!!!  Mama's ready.

Today was the Central Christian School back to school picnic. I can't really believe it was 3 years ago that we first attended when Isaac was on his way to 3k and Auds sat quiet and tiny in the stroller. And now its Audrey's turn!  She looked so cute and big sitting there with her name tag and snow cone!!

Audrey steals my phone all the time and takes pictures. I actually find myself cracking up as I scroll through my gallery constantly. I found this gem today. I have no idea why but I can't stop laughing at this one!  Just imagining Auds telling her baby sister to smile :)

Came in to the room to find this today. Apparently she stands on her own now.  She just looked at me like "oh, hey.  What?  Oh yeah, this?  I do this now."

Audrey's 3K orientation day today. She was excited and apprehensive. She carefully chose her first day of school outfit after I read her the dress code. And then, just as I knew she would, accesorized with a statement necklace and sparkle shoes :)  When I picked her up she told me "I cried for you."  Melt my heart. I just know this year will be amazing for her....sweet teacher, sweet friends in class, sweet school.

Isaac needs to bring a "recent family photo" with him tomorrow night when he visits his new classroom and drops off all his school supplies. I have been through all of our summer photos and this is the best I could do....a selfie of our rally caps during a cardinals game. This is seriously all I have. Oh brother.

Let's hope this is not a preview to his teenage years. I guess that tatooed guy he saw in Target was a bigger influence than I thought. I knew he was being too quiet in his room ;)

I have been walking the kids up to our public elementary school playground as much as I can in the last few weeks. Isaac starts kindergarten there next week and I want him to be as familiar and comfortable with the walk and the school as possible. He can't wait!!

Annual August Challenge

I have been reminded that in August I usually publish a "picture a day" challenge. Considering I have an entire camera roll with pictures that never end up anywhere, I will take that challenge again!!  Here we go....

Since it took me 3 days to realize its August, here are 3 pics of our main summer activity....getting creative with water in the yard. Emmeline naps twice a day and Audrey "rests" for an hour in the afternoons (which never coordinates with Em's nap) so we are home ALOT.  Trying to keep everyone entertained is a full time job. I kind of feel like a cruise director with the endless crafts, activities and all day buffets!

Our May was full of so many moments to remember.....this one was one of the best!  A new goddaughter!  Our first niece, our kids' first cousin ever!  She came in February and we just can't stand the cuteness of Evelyn.  Turns out being an aunt and uncle is straight up awesome.  You can spoil them rotten and love the bajeezus out of them, but you don't have to be responsible for them - now that's a bonus ;)  My sister Laura is so much younger than me (8 years) so I never imagined we'd be pregnant together and then have baby girls just a few months apart from each other......so special.  Emme and Evie will grow up with a very special relationship to treasure.  Lucky gals.....happy mommas.
