Summer Vacation!!!!

Last day of school!!!  A little bitter sweet this year because Isaac is moving to our public elementary school for Kindergarten in the fall so it was his last day at our beloved private Chrisitan school he has attended for the last 3 years.  But the good news is that Audrey will walk through those doors in the fall for her first days of pre-kindergarten so we'll still get to experience that school for many years to come!

Perhaps no one is more excited about having the big kids home for the summer as Emmeline....she's so bored with me when they aren't home!

This summer will be epic.  It's kind of like my first summer vacation.  It's the first summer I haven't worked since I was like 15.  WOW.  We've got big, big fun planned :)

Easter!!!

It's possible that in a sleep deprived moment of weakness I ordered the kids coordinating, monogramed Easter outfits this year :)  Jeff may never, ever let me live this down.  But boy did they look cute!!

First week of April 2011 - Audrey Jane is about 7 weeks old.

First week of April 2014 - Emmeline Rose turns 5 months old.

Yet they wear the same outfit :)  Just a little glimpse at how enormous AJ was and how itty bitty Emme is.  Precious, precious girls.

Emmeline's Baptism

Don't you just love a day dedicated to your sweet baby?  Emme's baptism day turned out perfect, after being cancelled the weekend before due to a winter storm.  We'll always remember Emmeline was born the winter of the polar vortex/worst winter in a generation.  And thus baptized a week later than all her little engraved gifts shows - on a beautiful 55 degree morning :)  And isn't it just perfect that the other baby baptized that morning was named Rose?  Meant to be.

We chose our dear friends, Justin and Andrea to be Emme's godparents.  And wouldn't you know that the day before the baptism their 5 year old Megan was admitted to the hospital?  But they still came....right from the hospital on Sunday morning, leaving Meg in the care of her grandma.  Now are those good godparents or what??!!

 Oh did she cry!!

Our neighbors kept the cake in their freezer for us for a week after the cancellation fiasco.  It wasn't until we got it back the next weekend that I realized Baptism was spelled wrong.  Ha!!

The experience got a little long for big bro and sis :)

THREE!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Audrey Jane!!!  I'm not gonna lie, I'm having a little trouble with you being THREE.  Holy cow that seems old for my baby girl.  But I'm pretty sure you wish you were twice as old as that.  You don't really act 3 (well, except for the temper tantrum, spends lots of time in time out for not listening and biting your brother part), as you want to keep up with all the older kids no matter what.  You are a born leader and so independent.  Wicked smart.  You have definite opinions - you keep us cracking up by telling us when you don't like our clothes or your own clothes.  I have to take my 3 year old shopping to help me dress myself - Lord help me when you're 13.  And while you definitely have your moments, you are also my cuddler - so affectionate, such a good little mommy to all your baby dolls.  You have a special place in our family because you get to be the little sister and the big sister.  And you have a special place in our hearts, Lady Jane.
